"The SGLBA has had a business relationship with Kymera Security for over ten years.
This was primarily in their capacity as the security firm employed at Slide Lounge in Darlinghurst, where we had initially one, and then two monthly events at the venue for many years.
These events were generally attended by between 200 - 400 people per month, per event. Tyrone, Carole, and their team have always been professional, and are well known by many of our guests.
As an LGBTI organisation, it is always critical that our guests feel comfortable at venues, and are not at risk of threatening behaviour. Some security firms have not managed this as well as Kymera. They are the face of the venue, and given the frequency of events we had at Slide, they were by extension, the face of the SGLBA in that they were the first people our guests met as they walked in the door. Kymera understands the importance of a positive customer experience, and over the years got to know many of our guests, and vice versa. On the rare occasion an issue was escalated to their attention, it was always handled professionally and discreetly.
Whilst we no longer hold events at Slide, we continue to engage Kymera at our other events wherever we can, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to other prospective clients."
